What You Get
A real day from a real itinerary
Every itinerary is built from scratch — timed to your pace, grounded in two decades of travel journalism, down to what to order at lunch.
1
Arrive in Madrid
Barrio de las Letras + Reina Sofia + first tapas
10:00 AM
Walking orientation -- Barrio de las Letras
Drop your bags and step out into the literary quarter. Start on Calle de las Huertas — the streets are paved with quotes from Cervantes and Lorca. Work your way toward Plaza de Santa Ana, where the terraces fill up by noon.
1:00 PM -- Lunch
Casa Gonzalez
A deli-restaurant tucked behind a marble counter since 1931. Order the queso manchego curado with membrillo, the jamon iberico de bellota, and a glass of Verdejo. Locals come here for a reason.
What to order: The manchego here is aged 12 months and served with house membrillo. Ask for it at the bar — the tables in back are quieter but the counter is the experience.
3:30 PM
Reina Sofia -- Guernica
You could spend three hours here, but go straight to Room 206. Stand in front of Guernica and give it ten minutes. Then work backward through the rooms that trace how Picasso got there.
From our travel archive: "The painting is 3.5 meters tall. No reproduction prepares you for the scale. Stand to the left where the light falls the way Picasso intended — most visitors crowd the center and miss it." — Irene Gonzalez
8:30 PM -- Dinner
Lateral Castellana
Modern Spanish sharing plates in a setting that feels like a neighborhood secret. The croquetas de jamon and grilled octopus are non-negotiable. Book the terrace if the weather holds.
Recommendations a journalist spent twenty years uncovering.
Our early travelers told us it saved them days of research — and took them places they'd never have found on their own.
★★★★★
"We traveled to Madrid and Cuenca with my husband and two kids. They took us to places we never could have dreamed existed in Madrid. We visited three of the best museums in the world, and our kids enjoyed it more than any trip we've ever taken. In Cuenca it felt like stepping into the Middle Ages. The food was exceptional."

"We used AllSpain to plan our trip to Alcalá de Henares and Madrid, and it was the best experience of our traveling lives. We're already planning a second trip — this time through Córdoba, Granada, and Almería for September. We can't wait to go back."

★★★★★
"It recommended places I'd never heard of, told me exactly which tickets to book ahead of time, and found hidden tapas bars I wouldn't have discovered in a hundred Google searches. It felt like a real travel expert planned the whole thing."

FAQ
Your questions, answered
What's included in a full itinerary?
A complete day-by-day itinerary for the entire duration of your trip, with specific restaurants (including what to order), hotels with booking tips, insider secrets, a Google Maps route, budget breakdown, packing list, and booking checklist. All based on curated Spanish travel journalism — not generic internet lists.
How is this different from ChatGPT?
ChatGPT pulls from the general internet and gives you the same top-10 recommendations everyone gets. AllSpain pulls from more than 500 curated articles written by a journalist who's spent 20+ years exploring Spain — the places that don't have Google listings, the restaurants with 12 seats, the viewpoints only locals know.
What if I don't like my itinerary?
Email us and we'll regenerate it at no extra cost with different preferences — no questions asked. We want you to love your trip.
Is this a subscription?
No — a single purchase. You'll see your complete first day before deciding, and your itinerary is yours to keep.
Is my payment secure?
Yes. Payments are processed by Stripe — the same platform used by Amazon, Google, and Shopify. We never see or store your card details.
Ready?
Stop following the beaten path. Start living Spain.
Get a trip plan built from real insider knowledge — the hidden courtyards, the unmarked tapas bars, the viewpoints only locals know.
